Sound Steps
Walks
Sound Steps Walk-N-Roll (from 0.5 to 2.5 miles):
9:30 am on Wed, Sept 15 at Seward Park. Join us for our fifth annual
end-of-summer funwalk! Celebrate your health by walking on this flat,
paved trail. Music, snacks and prizes included. Great for beginners or
experienced walkers. This event is a joint fundraiser with SE Seattle
Senior Center. Cost: $1-20

Line Dancing for All Levels- Fun, Fun, Fun!
In this easy, fun class you will learn line dances to a variety of
music like swing, rock and roll, waltz, zydeco and western. This class
is open to all levels of dancers, so check it out if you love to move to
music. Benefits include increased flexibility and balance, stronger
muscles and improved body awareness. New dances explored monthly. Tues, 1-2pm, ongoing.
Cost: Drop-in $10 or 5-week punch card $30/mem, $40/non-mem *only pay
when attend.
Beginners Line Dancing Class
Would you like to learn some beginners line dancing moves without
feeling intimidated? This class is great for everyone who loves to move
to music. Exercise never felt like such fun! You’ll learn the basics and
then have the opportunity to stick around after class for the all levels
dance class. Try your 1st Line Dancing Class for FREE! Tues,
12:30-1pm, ongoing. Cost: Drop-in $5 or 5-week punch card $15/mem,
$20/non-mem *only pay when attend.
Enhance Fitness
This evidence-based exercise program is specifically designed for older
adults. Certified instructors use dynamic cardiovascular exercise,
strength training and stretching, to help increase your strength, boost
your activity levels and elevate your mood. Buy a monthly punch card and
attend two or three times a week.
Mon, Wed & Fri, 8:30-9:30am. Cost: $32 (2x/week) or $48
(3x/week) per month.
T'ai
Chi: Level I & II
Balancing the Heart Qigong & Yang Tai Chi Form: Previous Tai Chi experience is
recommended.
10–11am: Basics of Tai Chi & Qigong for All Levels: Begin your study learning
movements for strength, flexibility, balance and confidence.
Tues & Thurs, ongoing 9–10am. Cost: TBD by

Low-Impact Exercise
Instructor Floy Bishop leads this fun and
easy to follow drop-in class with health benefits for all. Socialize while
you get in shape– all skill levels welcome. All of the exercises used in this
class can be done either sitting
or standing. Cost is $1 Suggested Donation.
Meets every Monday,
Wednesday & Friday, 10-11 am
Yoga
This class is appropriate for experienced yoga
students and beginners able to transition to and from sitting/lying on
the floor. We start with warm-up exercises taken from a variety of
disciplines. Instructor D’vorah Kost uses a variation of Viniyoga,
adaptation of postures, breathing in unity with movement and dynamic
movement between positions, while integrating traditional yoga postures.
Benefits include improved flexibility, balance, posture and lowered
blood pressure. Cost is
$5/member, $6/non-member.

2:30-3:45 pm.
Greenwood Strollers
Stay healthy and active by participating in this
walking club led hosted by Sound Steps. Join with other members of the
community to get exercise and enjoy the neighborhood. All are welcome:
grandparents, kids of all ages, moms, dads, dogs, etc.!

Feldenkrais®
Awareness Through Movement®
Discover this fun and easy movement method that
improves your physical movements, your sense of balance and overall
well-being. Customized classes engage your brain and body to help you
move easier. Beginners welcome! The teacher is a Guild Certified
Feldenkrais PractitionerCM
with 10 years experience. Wear warm, comfortable clothing.
Classes may be done on the floor or in a chair.
