New! Beginning Yoga: Chair & Standing
Positions Only
All the benefits that
one can derive from yoga, including improved flexibility, strength,
balance, and peace of mind can be accomplished while sitting in a chair,
and standing, as able, using the chair back for balance if necessary.
Yoga and meditation have also been found to reduce blood pressure, pain,
and stress. We will target all joints, to maintain or increase
flexibility. We will work with light weights to increase upper body
strength, while practicing breathing exercises and maintaining
Yoga-awareness. And we will practice meditation, to align one’s mind
with the highest good. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and
consult your doctor if you have any health concerns about exercise.
