Carl & Florence Wiggen Potter Legacy Fund Trips

Thanks to an incredibly generous gift from the late Florence Potter, long time member and volunteer at GSC, a legacy fund has been set up specifically to help pay for group outings. A group of volunteers is heading up a planning committee and organizing monthly day trips leaving from the GSC. Programs are free for members. Call (206)297-0875 to reserve your spot for any of the trips. These trips do fill up, so please sign up in advance. Transportation fee for all trips: free/members, $15/non-members.

• June: Country Village  Visit the charming Country Village in Bothell and enjoy a park like setting with over 40 shops and restaurants. (Fri, June 20, no-host lunch on site, call for details and sign up)

• July: Tacoma Glass Museum Watch the Chihuly museum's visiting artists' glass blowing exhibition, tour the gift shop, then visit the renovated classic Union Station, featuring historic exhibits and shops. (Thurs, July 17, no-host dinner at Royal Fork Buffet, call for details and sign up.)

• August: Northwest Trek Take a trip through this unique 723 acre wildlife park featuring a 435 acre roaming tram tour. (Wed, Aug 20, nho-host lunch at park, call for details and sign up.)

Lunch Club

Join a lively group of friends as they dine around Seattle. The group meets at the restaurant at noon. Call GSC at (206)297-0875 to find out the restaurant of the month and to sign up so reservations can be made. Quarterly schedule:

Poulsbo Casino Trips

Take a trip to The Clearwater Casino in Poulsbo, WA for the day!  Bus leaves at 8:30am, and returns at 5pm. Space is limited so please call GSC in advance for a reservation.  $5/members, $7.50/non-members, 3^rd Tuesday of every month.

Outings with Wallingford Senior Center

These co-sponsored trips are a wonderful opportunity to socialize with members of the Wallingford Senior Center, which is located in the Good Shepherd Center. Transportation is provided by WSC’s van, so you won't have to worry about driving. To reserve your seat, call WSC early at (206) 461-7825.  Outings cost $2 for members and $4 for non-members to cover the use of the van. Admission fees, if any (and we try not to have any!) will be included in the outing description.
