Class Instructor:
Do you have a particular talent or skill you would like to share with others?
We’re always looking for new class and workshop ideas, so bring your ideas to
us! Many of our instructors do receive a minimal fee for their services, call
Molly Kimmel for more information.
Landscaper/Garden Worker:
Want
to get your hands dirty? Our beautiful garden needs help staying
beautiful. If you enjoy gardening or ground maintenance this just may be the job
for you!
Office Helper/Receptionist:
Our day-time receptionist
staff are the
lifeblood of our organization, answering the phones, helping walk-ins with
questions, and generally providing a friendly face near the front door. Would
you like to become a part of the team? We provide a training, and we ask for a
one-day a week commitment for either the morning (starts at 8:30am or afternoon
shift (starts at 12:30pm).
Volunteer Cook:
Do you enjoy
cooking or baking? We are always in need of good cooks to help out in our
kitchen. A volunteer-led team of three cooks lunch each day at the center in
addition to a spaghetti dinner once a month. We also need help preparing baked
goods for special events and for our new evening program.
Group Opportunities:
We do have some opportunities available for groups to serve. Please contact
Molly Kimmel for more information.
Publicity Volunteers:
Help us get the
word out about all of our fabulous programs! We need volunteers to take our
flyers around the neighborhood. We have connections with many area businesses,
but we always need able-bodied volunteers to take the flyers to them! Please
give us a call if you’d like to help.
Server at Special Events:
Once a month we have a Spaghetti dinner
fundraiser, where we need servers, cashiers and other helpers. We also have many
luncheons for volunteers to help out at. Please call for more information.
Computer Lab Helper:
We have a beautiful new computer lab, and it is always helpful to have those
experienced in computer work available to help seniors with their computer
problems. Helpers are especially needed in the morning and early afternoon.
Computer Support: As a small non-profit we rely on volunteers for our technology
support. If you would like to work with a team of technology volunteers to keep
us upgraded and maintained, contact Kevin
Shea by clicking here.
